In the Saturday morning session I attended, it seemed Crowell stood out while Posey stood on the sideline...most of the time.

I also liked what I saw of the uber fast LB Ellison..the 6th round pick.

I'm thinking Posey is on his way out... He doesn't fit this Cover 2 D.

Agreed. His only good year was in Houston in which they ran a 3-4. He was responsible for blindside blitzes so he had like 8 sacks and a bunch of tackles for losses. Donahoe nutted his pants over this and signed him to a contract he wasnt worth. He hasnt done a thing since coming here, and his days are definately numbered. Especially with the emergence of Crowell. If hes lucky, he'll be held on for depth, ST, or possibly DE.

He better be getting all his snaps as DE or they should cut him.

If the Bills were to cut him, maybe he could be reunited with Coach Capers in Miami. We could always add another LB to help out in the 3-4 formations.

I bet he'll be on the team this season, if only for depth. In addition, he might be a needed change of pace rushing the passer in place of Denney/Kelsay.

I've never been a fan of him as a starter so if he doesn't make the team or gets benched, I won't be upset about it.

Id be interested to see him in as a DE pass rush specialist.

I can definitely see that happening.

Since is appears that Crowel will be starting on the strong side, Posey will still be on the roster, at least up to the trading deadline to ensure depth incase Spikes isn't fully recovered. He could have an impact on the D-line though. Hell, he couldn't do any worse that Kelsay and Denney.

I think a lot depends on Spikes' recovery, which seems to be going very well at the moment. We have so much talent and depth at LB - with Watson and Ellison having been added to an already strong group - that if Spikes is ready to go opening day, there may be no room for Posey.

If TKO were to suffer a set back, Posey may be kept for depth, or even as the starter on the strong side, with Crowell moving back over to the weak side.

As far as the pass rushing DE thing, I think a Neill or a Hall - who are bigger, younger and probably as fast at this point - may emerge, making Posey less valuable in that role.

I wish I could give Posey some pos rep!

That's what I kept waiting for but he didn't seem to get snaps there either.

I guess he's more of an outside backer/pass rusher in a 3-4 scheme, but a little light for DE in a 4-3. As I've said, I think we'll try to develop Neill or Hall as pass rushers from the edge.
