Let's think this Price thing through

I think we are going to end up keeping Price.

OK, we have $10 mil or so of money available, but who is really out there that would have a bigger impact on this team than Price?

The FA WR's are weak, and we'd end up paying a Kevin Dyson $3+ anyhow.

    Spikes isn't going anywhere.

Peterson would command $4+ if Spikes isn't there, and he's not really worth that.

There are no big money FA DL that really knock your socks off.

TD will still have $6-8 (depending on cuts) left to get more modest D help.

you know what bothers me? spikes wants out of a losing team that is going nowhere and has been losing for years...and he has been playing his butt off for them. price wants to leave a team that is on the up and has an amazing chance of being a contender and allowed him to catch 94 balls last season. it just shows how selfish price is...
    Thank you.

The Bengals would be crazy to do that-

          1) They will draft Charlie Rogers if they want a gamebreaking WR- and they will pay 3 Million less for him.

          2) Why trade a comodity for JR and his fat paycheck if they can pick him up for a song after the Bills cut hm? Plus, they are happy with AAron Shoebel's kid brother Matt at the TE spot.

why draft a receiver and take a chance when you can have a guarenteed playmaker?
            Thank you.

Because that chance saves you $3 million.

Yup. And the owner of the Bungals is known far and wide as a total cheapskate. He won't pay for Peerless if he thinks he can get the same talent via the draft for half the cost.
