    Chris Brown Blog Day 5

Both quarterbacks looked sharp tonight. It looks as though they're both benefitting from the extra reps with Nall out. Both were getting the ball out quickly for the most part. Holcomb appeared to check the ball down quicker than Losman who seemed more eager to make a play downfield. And both were effective in spreading the ball around.

Peerless Price, Jonathan Smith and George Wilson all had strong nights tonight in the passing game.

Wendell Hunter is starting to open my eyes a bit. Every so often he comes up with a nice play. Matt Morgan is another guy that has popped up on my radar screen.

So both looked sharp. Both got rid of the ball rather quickly. The difference? Holcomb checking the ball off while Losman looked for bigger pass plays...it sounds like he made them too.
As long as I'm spreading some good news around here notice that Peerless Price had a strong night.

great question. Since it is paired in Brown's Blog with the Qb issue I assume they are somehow in the offensive scheme of things. Anyone else know for sure?

I am not defending Holcomb for being "Checkdown Charlie" or anything, but sometimes it is the right move to make. And who knows when you have a guy like Parish with the ball, that checkdown may net you 20+ yards. In no way am I endorsing Holcomb.

About Hunter, if he does shock and sticks around, who will be cut as a backup LB? Stamer, Watson, Ellison, Haggan?
