    Quick Camp report

Well contrary to the written and spoken word, JP did not walk on water at camp last night but he did look very good and I’d be shocked if he didn’t win this job. At the same time, Holcomb looked good also. One of the first passes that I saw JP throw yesterday went like this, He takes the snap and there is immediate pressure in his face, so he dumps a terrible pass off to Joe Burns and the whole crowd boos Burns. But to me, it's just another example of JP's terrible pocket presence. My friend and myself both went in anti-JP and after that pass we were unloading. But by the time we left we both agreed that he had a very nice practice. It's weird, but he looked more like a QB out there. Last year, I just didn't think he had the appearance of a QB, but last night I thought he looked good; he especially looked tall next to Holcomb.

Looks like the O was practicing a lot of quick passes, esp. slants and other stuff in the middle of the field. Which is great because I've been screaming for years that if you have a suspect O-line and a jittery QB, the defense is just going to blitz your ears off. I've never understood how we were the only team in the league that didn't know that quick passes was the best way to beat blitzes. Every other team in the league seems to be able to beat the blitz. Maybe this year, we'll know how to do it.

Also Willis looked good and I'm expecting big things from that guy.

Then I went to Hooters on the way home for some cute chicks.

Then we went to Madam’s after that and saw a few porn star feature dancers. Some girl with the last name Ocean and some Australian bird that pulled me on stage and rode me like a horse (I don’t usually like that, and I didn’t last night, but I thought I’d mention it).

    Didn’t get home until 1:30.
    Resign our own guys!

Sounds like a good time all around. Mikey never mentions the extracurricular stuff in his reports.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
