<CENTER>
We are now on Day 9 of Buffalo Bills Training Camp. The players came out wearing full pads today and started to have some full contact. The Buffalo Bills practiced on the grass fields today. It was a lot cooler out there, especially with the shade from the trees. As usual, the team worked on the individual drills, 7-on-7, 11-on-11, special teams and a 2-minute drill. They also did a controlled scrimmage at the end with the younger veterans and rookies who don't get a lot of practice time.

Those reports are GOLD !

From Mikeys report, the part that stuck out like a sore thumb..

JP Losman came back in for two more plays and kept it up. He first found George Wilson for 10-yards and then threw a beautiful 50 yard bomb to Roscoe Parrish that would have definitely gone for a touchdown. That crowd went nuts after that play.

Kelly Holcomb came back and dumped off to Robert Royal for 5 yards.

How can you capture a gaze into a crystal ball at our 06/07 season, looking at both QB versions, in 3 lowsy sentences like that!

I love it! Thats classic!

I like what I hear, JP had a good day, and it'll be interesting ti see how he continues it next practice and how Jauron plays with the reps. It looked today like JP got more passing reps from your count (so there goes Ice's theory). Im loving the consistency Im seeing from not only Peerless Price but also from Roscoe Parrish. It sounds like he is really emerging during camp. Be good to see how Whitner does tommorow. Also I really hope we keep Nance around...though there has only been limited good news about him.

well lets just hope JP does well in the NFL, make all those autographs he's signin worth somethin someday and not just somethin some kid looks at 5 years down the road and is like "i got an autograph from JP losman, that guy who works ata surf board shop"

but in all seriousness, lets hope he keeps it up. JP bay-b!

Great report. It seems like the news of JP's demise is premature . . . again. LOL

Sounds like JP is the only one taking shots down field. Sounds like Holcomb is just trying to manage, while JP is trying to make something happen.

Thanks Mikey!!!

All Holcomb can do is manage, cause his arm isn't strong enough to make things happen (throw long).

Encouraging on the piece on losman. Let's hope he keeps it up and distances himself farther from holcomb in the "qb competition."

Crowell has been the best LB on this team so far. He's looked great. Spikes is definitely healing up quick and is starting to show some agility to get after the RBs.

I have seen Holcomb make some throws downfield and he has impressed me at times, but other times, they are horrible passes. That's why he tends to check off soo many times. He knows he cant do it downfield.

I was laughing when I read that. How ironic. Losman: 50 yard bomb
Holcomb: 5 yard dump off

Mikey, first off thanks for the reporting. Much better than what I'm reading on the BuffaloBills site. Second, I think you are dead on about Holcomb. Holcomb's not dumb either. He isn't going to take chances when he is playing to be the starter. But this happened alot last year during the season and that's why Evans looked subpar when Holcomb was out there,

What? KH was just doing hand offs? JP was throwing to Peerless, Royals ,etc. who are most likely first team units? Why that seems like a legit qb competition. How dare Fairchild.

How come Ice didn't post in this thread?

Good job MIkey.
