Return Game

Has anyone noticed how we always bring in players thathave been great returning the ball for other teams... and then they get here and they can't do anything??

Examples... Chris Watson... Charlie Rogers....

It makes one wonder. I think, for instance, Rogers is actually a pretty good returner... I think we still just have sucky special teams... When you look at Return plays, it alsways seems the opposing players are all the way down the field before the ball even gets there... our returners never seem to even have a chance of going anywhere. So before we go out and look for yet another receiver... maybe we should look at people who can be effective blockers in the return game.

I agree COMPLETELY! I have said this for awhile. Our special teams SUCK. I wish we would have gotten a better special teams coach this offseason. I have been critical of rogers too, but its true it could be a result of poor special teams as a whole.

You really look at how Rogers played... he himself is quite good... he just gets very few opportunities for big returns.

Jermaine Lewis was just cut lets sign him and see what happens. Plus everyone says that defense wins championships but special teams is an integral piece, I agree we need to upgrade.

I wish to win $100M but that will never happen either. Although winning that kind of money is more likely than Tasker ever coaching. Mark Pike, on the other hand.........
