TKO, FLETCH, AND POSEY?

OR TKO, FLETCH, AND CROWELL?

THE DEPTH CHART SAYS CROWELL..I'D RATHER SEE HIM START.

Sorry...I just thought it was a kick to see Marv Levy on a message board asking who the starters are going to be :D

TKO was switched over to Posey's old spot and Crowell inserted into TKO's old spot

They brought it up on WGR the other day...so it happened pretty recently

Id much rather see TKO on the weak side. He's a friggin beast over there and he's played on that side of the ball his entire career.

Crowell did look good on the weak side last year, but I'd rather have to change Crowell's game than TKOs ...

actually.. fletcher should be SS.. tko should be middle, and crowell weakside.

Actually TKO played SLB early in his career in Cincy and played at a high level. And if he's lost some speed and mobility, it won't be as bad as if he were still playing WLB.

I guess they justified the switch to the Strong side through the new Cover 2 scheme..so it's not like Spikes will be expected to do what Posey was expected to...should be interesting

Fletcher definitely doesn't have the size to be a strong side backer. He has a hard enough time fending off blockers without a fat guy in front of him in the middle. I can't imagine him playing over a TE every single play.

Watch out because the WILL position is going to get a lot of tackles this year. I won't be surprised to see Crowell very close to Fletch in total tackles this year if he stays where he is.

i dont think the strong side lb in the cover 2 system has to be a big guy.. all of the Tampa linebackers are well under 250, i believe.

When they interviewed Jauron a few days ago he said that Crowell was working at the SSLB spot not WLB. Thats also when he mentionned that Crowell was penciled in as the starter and that he still had to win the job.

I think the bigger question is, who are our 3-4 backup LBs going to be? Stamer, Hunter, Watson, Haggan, Ellison and someone else i think are competing for 3 spots.

Bills Daily reports Buffalo Bills OLB Angelo Crowell wil remain at the starting weakside linebacker spot (the non-tight end side) he held last year when OLB Takeo Spikes was out with his Achilles injury. Spikes moves to the strongside spot. He played on that side in Cincinnati and doesn't expect the move to pose a problem. In the Bills new attacking style cover two defense, it doesn't matter too much which side a linebacker plays since they have similar responsibilities.

Doesn't sound like a big deal which side they play on.
