How long will Takeo be out for games?

Bills | Spikes will not play Saturday
    Wed, 9 Aug 2006 21:27:15 -0700

John Warrow, of the Associated Press, reports Buffalo Bills LB Takeo Spikes (Achilles') said he will not play in Buffalo's preseason opener at Carolina Saturday, Aug. 12. Spikes is taking his comeback gradually after missing the final 13 games of last season with a torn right Achilles' tendon.

Is he trying to come back for the opening game or will it be later in the season?

Sorry if it has already been covered.

I thought he was skipping the preseasons as a precaution and would be ready for opening day.
You think you're hot **** in a champagne glass, but you're really cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup!

That's basically what TKO has said.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I hope he's ready by the opening game. The defense needs his playmaking ability.

He doesn't need the preseason... so long as he's staying fit, he'll be good to go if he's ready by September 10th. It would be nice to get him out there, but definitely not mandatory.
