is bledslow getting phased out soon?

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) -- Bill Parcells says "there would be a pretty good chance" that Tony Romo will start at quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in their preseason opener against Seattle on Saturday night.
The move has nothing to do with starter Drew Bledsoe and everything to do with evaluating Romo, who is going into his fourth season without having thrown a pass in a regular-season game.
Hey! There is an actual article!

Once you read into it a few sentances, the answer to this thread is "No"

What I think it does point out is that coaches approach who starts these poreseason games a lot differently than the fans do.

Coaches have reasons for what they do.

Fans are knee-jerk reactonairies who make decisions on who's a starter based on surfing reports on the internet and talk radio

If Parcell's wasn't such a crappy head coach, he would've cut Drew before the draft and just handed the job to Romo. Let the kid start 16 games, and then evaluate whether or not he's the future of the franchise and move on from there.

Thats the dumbest thing ever, no one in their right mind just hands over a job.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
              It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Eesh, I think people are really looking to make something out of nothing. Bledsoe is 34 so all they want to see is if his replacement is on the roster and with Romo's contract up after the season would it be worth re-signing. It has nothing to do with Bedsoe being phased out quickly.

The difference between Dallas and us is that no one knows what Romo can do, much like Losman. Everyone knows what Holcomb can do. They also know he's not going to get any better. He's a senior citizen by NFL standards.

Why? Romo isn't as talented as JP. They didn't spend all those draft picks on him and he hasn't shown the upside JP has.
