you should be able to digitize video by routing the TV feed into your graphics card and capturing it. alas i live in DC, and couldnt do that but i believe my new computer has the capability....and if a almost 3 hr movie is almost 2gigs, decent quality...im sure 3 hours of alright quality would be around 1 gig, maybe less. not bad.
