I'm thinking he wishes he was Steve Young and not an overhyped great athlete that does only one thing well...scramble.

As I watch this game, I get nervous that the Pats finally have a star RB that they can make a main part of their offense. Maroney impresses me. He's good.

Vick's the most over-rated player in any professional sports league right now.

Maroney is my pick for ROY.

Altanta had the worst run defense in the NFL last year and did nothing to improve it. And on Maroney's first run, he was down during the first tackle, and on the second run, there was a false start on the Pats that was missed.

Hard to make a judgement with that game.

Put another way...how many QBs look good against Team Belichick?

I was at the game tonight with my wife, and we saw Maroney and we looked at each other and said, "great we get to see him twice a year for the next ten."

Just confirmed what I expected. As a Hawkeye fan saw him run wild on the big ten for 3 years so no big surprise.

Matt Schaub is a better QB than Vick; DJ Shockley will be better in a short period of time. Vick should be their third QB. Yes, I said it.

There were more then a few times when first guy that touched maroney didn't get him down--and there was no false start--if there was,it did not effect the play.

You ever hear of corey dillon 2004(and not his injury filled season of 05,where he played nearly every game hurt)?

You ever here of curtis martin?

You mean the Curtis Martin who is on the PUP? Corey Dillon is going down hill hence the selection of Maroney.

If the Pats were still so "great", how come they never had the lead? Not even when the Brady bunch was in!

You do realize this is preseason, right? Offenses are basically very "vanilla".

I don't kiss ass, look at my rep. I see it the way it is and the pats and co are one of the top teams every season regardless of how bad they play in preseason year after year.
