Diehard fans of current and even some past NHL teams are in Buffalo for the 36th annual NHL
Booster Clubs Convention.
Fans from all over the U.S. and Canada compare notes about their favorite teams in this gathering which goes to a different NHL city each year.
It's particularly interesting to meet fans from the so-called Defunct Division - that is teams which left town or folded. That might include the Hartford Whalers, California Seals, Minnesota North Stars, or Cleveland Barons. There are various reasons but their fans still identify with the those franchises which no longer exist.
