It goes to show you that all our internal bickering here does 0 to determine how our team plays during the reg. season. I think we are going to suprise many outsiders & change a few tones here.

Dude, this is preseason. The outcome of the game doesn't mean anything. It's pretty pathetic if you're basing any value of a team off of these preseason games when the backups, 3rd stringers and players who won't even make the team are playing 45+ minutes of the game.

Look at all the years Arizona was always 4-0 or 3-1 in preseason and went on to win 3 or 4 games all year. Or when we hardly won any preseason games during our superbowl years.

I can't even believe I'm reading this. You need help.

I never said that, your extrapolating that on your own. Preseason means little but a glimpse of what can happen.

You're trying to make a big deal out out of these outcomes. You made a post about it. And said they were "unexpected"

That means you think it acutally means something or you would've never made a post about it.

Post the scores of the games after the first quarter only...exclude anything in the last three. Are the 'results' different?

Even that wouldn't mean anything. It's still preseason.

Some starters don't even play a quarter. The offenses and defenses are vanilla and their isn't any gameplans.

Basically the preseason is worthless just like this post is.

Some of them are to me, san fran beating chicago by 14 points was unexpected wasn't it?

These games mean nothing. During our Super Bowl years, we couldnt win a preseason game to save our lives.

Unlike then, we need a little confidence boost.

That 2nd fumble wasn't a fumble, and the 49's got a TD out of it.
Now that was unexpected! :snicker:

I read zero into those results. There is some value in watching the games , but box scores of preseason games contain no information about teams in the preseason.

Oh my gosh, Mikey, Skooby, please stop. NOTHING can be derived from any part of a pre-season game.

 I was just saying that those are the scores of the 1st quarter only which is what the starters play.

it'd be nice if we play good through preseason, give the team a reason to be optimistic rather than, eh, lets go out there and maybe win? i guess? kinda? ehhh?

The outcomes dont matter. The evolving of the rookies in these games is what matters. I rather let every starting VET sit the first 3 preseason games and let the backups and rookies play as much as poss to get better.

Nope. The outcome of a preseason game means nothing.

There isn't any gameplanning and there are vanilla plays being ran out there. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that.
