All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

This was a topic on WGR radio a couple weeks ago. I didn't call in, but if I had, this is what I would have proposed: In the overtime period teams would be limited to three downs instead of four, a la Canadian rules. Field goal attempts would not be permitted on each team's first possession. That would greatly reduce the number of times that the first team that got the ball in overtime scored without the other team getting possession even once. It would force teams to play a more wide open style as well.
What changes would you make? Or would you keep things the same?
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
Guarantee one possesion per team in OT. If neither team scores with their first possession, sudden death rules apply.
Imagine the coaching decisions !!
Kicking off instead of receiving all the time becomes a viable decision (field position, etc.) when you know you're getting the ball at least once.
If on the opponents 15, 4th and 3 yds, first possession of OT--do you kick the FG and hope your defense and special teams hold or do you go for it, trying to put 7 on the board to force the other team to score a TD on their first possession ??
I think the game would be much more exciting with just this one little tweak.
Whatever is done, I really hope they don't go anywhere near NCAA rules. They stink and I hated the championship game this year.
