    My interview with Steve Tasker

Hey guys, I write for my own Bills column/blog in my spare time as practice for my journalism major while i'm still in school. a few weeks ago i contacted CBS sports about doing an interview with Steve Tasker and today i interviewed Steve. He was a really good interview.

Definitely check out the full thing here: http://bills.mostvaluablenetwork.com...-steve-tasker/

Dan Goldman: Your career included Pro Bowls, Super Bowl trips and big plays. If you had to pick one highlight, what would it be?

Steve Tasker: Personally it would probably be the Most Valuable Player of the Pro Bowl. That was a fun day and a fun game to be a part of, as all the Pro Bowls were. But to be the MVP of that game is pretty special for me.

DG: You played for Marv Levy for a long time and did some broadcasting with him. Do you think he and Dick Jauron will be able to lead the Bills back to the top of the division in the next few years?

ST: Yeah I think they can do it. They certainly do all the right things; they make all the right decisions. They both see the game the same way I think that is important. Marv Levy has the ability to look at himself back when he was a head coach and understand what he wanted from his general manager and make sure he gives that to his head coach. I think they will be very successful together.

DG: Did Marv Levy’s return to football surprise you at all?

ST: No, it didn’t surprise me. I knew he wanted to be and I know he’s a quality individual. And there’s always room for quality individuals in the league. I knew someone would recognize that and give him a chance to be part of the organization. I think the Bills are very lucky to be that team.

                Re: JP Losman...

The guys he was throwing to were the right guys, they were the ones who were open, and they were the ones in the progression he should’ve been throwing too. Those are always hugely important, especially for a young quarterback.
That's a huge observation, to me.

                Very cool, phish...Thanks for sharing

After ruffling the NFL's feathers over the expensive extension to the collective bargaining agreement and how it could doom small-market franchises, the Buffalo Bills were happy to see the election of Roger Goodell as league commissioner. Goodell is a native of nearby Jamestown, N.Y., and has long shown concern for the Bills' future behind closed doors in his role as the NFL's chief operating officer. Full Story

                  Kyle Williams - #null - Defensive tackle - 6'1" - 298lbs
News: Bills rookie DT Kyle Williams has been installed into the starting lineup.
Impact: With Takeo Spikes (Achilles) unlikely to be in top form, Buffalo's rush D could be one of the league's worst. Keep that in mind for matchups. (Tue. Aug 15, 2006)

                  J.P. Losman - #7 - Quarterback - 6'2" - 217lbs
News: Bills head coach Dick Jauron says J.P. Losman is the favorite to secure the team's starting quarterback job.
Impact: It sounds like Jauron has already made his decision barring a major change. Kelly Holcomb, who has struggled, and Craig Nall will see less snaps moving forward. Losman was lost last season and has a weak receiver group, so we still wouldn't touch him in fantasy leagues. (Tue. Aug 15, 2006)

                  Kelly Holcomb - #10 - Quarterback - 6'2" - 212lbs
News: Kelly Holcomb will take less snaps at Bills practice after learning that J.P. Losman is the favorite to start in Buffalo.
Impact: Maybe Holcomb just doesn't fit the new system. While Losman has been inconsistent in camp, Holcomb has reportedly been worse. While there's still a good chance Holcomb will get a chance to start this season, it isn't likely to be in Week 1. (Tue. Aug 15, 2006)
