our local Electronics Boutique did a midnight madness sale...... my only problem with the game is if you do superstar mode, you can pick what roles you want to play in game...... and you dont get to pick the play

i got it for xbox 360. absolutely TERRIBLE. the ratings are disgusting on the game not just for the bills but the entire NFL. You cant edit the players...not even their jersey numbers...so whitner wears 36....for the "NEXT GENERATION" madden has taken 5 steps back on XBOX 360 from where it was on the PS2 and the XBOX. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS

I'll buy the game no matter what. I play my buddy in Buffalo from down here in Atlanta. We always play Bills vs. Bills. It's pretty funny listening to him swear and cuss. I just put in a new media room and will be playing it on a 50" plasma with surround sound so I'm pretty psyched!!

Hmmm that's not good. I always liked tweaking ratings on certain players to make it more real (ie giving Drew Bledsoe zero mobility like real life, etc).

I have about $60 in store credit for EB/Gamestop so I might as well give it a whirl, the 360 version that is. Comments will follow after playing.

I was planning on just getting it for my XBox, but I went to Circuit City and they were all $12 off, so I picked up the latest for my PC too. I'll be playing it tomorrow when I get home from work. :D

I got it for regular Xbox. I am not sure why I buy this game every year. It has barely changed since the 2004 edition. Sure the Graphics have been cleaned up slightly but nothing really different. This one is EXACTLY the same as the last edition for regular xbox. Not sure if the 360 version is any better than the previous.

I've read mixed reviews for the 360 version... Gamespot says the db's are easy to exploit which is discouraging... I still plan to get it anyway but either way, from the collection of reviews, it doesn't seem to be the blockbuster next-gen football game yet.

so far the reviews im getting from friends that have it for 360 and the xbox are mixed, but they all agree that it isnt the supergame that it was touted to be.....

superstar HOF mode kinda kills me a bit, any momentum that i can have in the game gets sucked out each possession change when i have to switch the meter etc.

anywho, overall i like the game, as it includes the usual things

The replay needs major changing, I took a 43yrd run with Mcgahee and got tackled at the goaline, the replay showed the ball over the goaline as Mcgahee's knee landed on the goaline itself.. I challenged as it should be a TD and they backed me up to the 1yd line instead..

its very rare ever since they allowed challenging for something to be overturned unless it is horribly obvious..... something like that should be but it isnt.... the only calls i ever get overturned are possession/out of bounds type calls

as much of an optimist i woudl like to be, i know for sure martin wont be THAT healthy, even if he could play.... for the game i had, i simulated 5 times this year.... and not once did the bills finish below 8-8

It could be turned off in '06 and this year you have the extra optional setting. When you bring up your passing routes, you can select a specific route and that will automatically turn on the passing cone for that play.

Not on the Online play you couldn't. It is just too much to handle, Unless you have a top rate oline guys are in to sack you right away(especially on a play action). I was able to use it eventually but I just don't see the need for it.

I simmed the HOF mode for one year with my RB I imported. I was rookie of the year with about 1500 yards. Was drafted by the packers. Not too bad. The only thing I hate is you are at the mercy of the playcalling by the automated HC. Tons of bad runs up the middle that I would have called different.

i got my copy when it first came out for ps2. it looks really good, the running game is awesome, passing still the same. not much difference, i like it tho. but i feel bad for the people who got it for 360. the graphics for 360 are good, but the gameplay sucks. when u play the game it looks so much better on ps2 or x-box.

the biggest positive for me, anyway, is that with the return schemes, its a bit easier to do kick and punt returns..... especially with this superstar function, the more i play it the easier it is, plus the more confidence your player has, the more he can make the opponents awareness go down..... the lead blocking thing is kinda cheesy if your no where near the play, but its something im getting used to

You can create players but you cannot tweak ratings. So far I love the 360 version. It does not suck by any means.

I deff. thought Crowell's rating was too low so I had to bump him up...that really sucks if you cant change ratigs on the 360...glad I stuck with my PS2
