Makes sense. Vick had no WR threat outside roddy williams.

Jenkins will be better than Lelie IMO. Lelie's a one-dimensional stick with bad hands.

I forgot about Jenkins. At least he has two deep threats and a possession receiver.

Duckett (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302187) to the Washington Redskins (http://www.nfl.com/teams/news/WAS) as part of a three-team deal and acquired holdout receiver Ashley Lelie (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302206) from the Denver Broncos (http://www.nfl.com/teams/news/DEN).

The Broncos received Washington's third-round pick in the 2007 draft as part of the deal, according to two officials within the league who spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not been officially announced.
Washington had been shopping for a running back since star Clinton Portis (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302215) partially dislocated his shoulder in the preseason opener against Cincinnati.

The Redskins are unsure if he'll be ready for the start of the regular season.
The Falcons, meanwhile, were eager to land another receiver after losing Brian Finneran (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12366) to a season-ending knee injury in the early days of training camp. Lelie was the NFL's leader in yards per catch the last two seasons, but he held out of training camp in hopes of forcing a trade.

Ashley Lelie = Peerless Price, 2006.

because

Atlanta = the graveyard of WR's

and

Michael Vick = terrible QB

As you can see, it's simple math

How in the heck can the broncos get a 3rd for Lelie and the Bills only get a 5th for Moulds who at his age is still alot better the Lelie?

Translation: The Falcons no longer have the three-headed rushing 'monster' of Dunn-Vick-Duckett.

I have to say that is sweet. Just the fact that one happened when 'these don't happen anymore' is pretty cool

Lelie, Jenkins and Crumpler will all work well beside one another.

Duckett is more fit today then he was in his rookie year. He can truly punish a defense. I know one thing, Portis will relish the help with this 1-2 punch.

i don't understand why the Redskins need Duckett when they have Ladell Betts to back Portis up and Portis should be back for game 1 of the regular season plus they also have Rock Cartwright........i aint drafting Portis in my fantasy draft anymore

You're kidding. Atlanta gave away a punishing back that wears down the defense, for an underachieving receiver who runs poor routes and chokes under pressure.

Terrible move for them.

Firs round bust for first round best for 3rd rounder. Whoever ended up with the 3rd stole this deal.

Are you kidding me?

Duckett was a bum last year and Norwood has been amazing in the preseason. There was no reason to keep Duckett considering he's an FA after this season and would of been lost for nothing. This was a good deal for Atlanta considering they lost WR Brian Finneran for the entire season earlier in TC.
