Punter Matt Allen was waived by the New York Giants after a season in which he was the holder on a botched field goal attempt at the end of a playoff loss to San Francisco.
The Giants on Friday also waived fullback Adam Wright and linebacker Clayton White and released wide receiver Herman Moore from the reserve-retired list.
Allen was signed as a free agent last August and played in 14 games during the regular season.....more
