Bust in 2 sports. QBs who go baseball 1st then NFL have an extremely high bust rate. For a QB, it's almost impossible to take time off from a football career, to pursue another sport, then come back & be successful at the NFL level. It doesn't even help if you go back to college after the baseball career doesn't work out. What's even worse is the way Henson did it, with no football in between leaving college for baseball & then going cold into the NFL. When Dallas signed him, I spoke about why he would fail and attributed it not only to rust but the basic fact that he loved baseball, not football and no QB who doesn't love the game of football can succeed in the NFL. Just compare Drew Henson's choice and attitude to Jim Kelly's. Even though he's been retired for years he still loves going on the field at the Ralph, even if it's just to cheer on the Bills & occasionally meet a Bills player who scored a TD in the endzone.Comment

Skooby, it would scare me if you held a position of authority with any NFL franchise. Would your starting backfield consist of Drew Henson at QB with Lawrence Phillips at HB, then coax Sam Gash out of retirement to play FB?
