Grossman standing taller than expected among QB's

When you have the two little letters "QB" next to your name on the roster.

Florida quarterback Rex Grossman got the good news Friday at the NFL scouting combine that he was actually a half an inch taller than what most scouts expected. Grossman was a full 6-feet-1, which surprisingly was an important number from the scouts' standpoint.

"You'd be surprised how relieved a lot of guys were when he was 6-1," said one AFC scout. "As strange as that sounds, that half inch could mean a lot of money to that kid."

In a quarterback-rich draft class, Grossman is the fastest riser of the group, and his being taller than expected can only quicken his pace up the draft board. He now is being talked about as a potential top 15 pick, perhaps even higher. Southern California's Carson Palmer is the consensus No. 1-rated quarterback, but the race for No. 2 isn't as clear-cut as first thought.

Didn't Florida list him as 6'1"? I think it's funny that NFL people are surprised he's as tall as advertized. I think the usual practice is to add an inch or two to short players.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
