Comparing JP's 2005 preseason with this preseason

I know stats arent everything, but they definetely show that JP has elevated his game

    2005 preseason (through 3 games) - 27/51 (52.9%) 1TD 0INT 229 yards
    71.4 QB rating

    2006 preseason (through 3 games) - 37/57 (64.9%) 2TD 2INT 462 yards
    87.0 QB rating

Yeah the yards and completions are there, but he needs to get his turnovers down asap!

Completion percentage is the key there. Last year he was under 50 percent. Now he's at 65. Quite a jump.

Thanks for the research, I was wondering the same thing this morning just to see the comparasion, but watching the games is really the true indicator, JP looks poised and the game has slowed down to him, I just wonder where he would be with another 1/2 dozen starts he should of had last year.

Thanks for the info, Spikes...I was wondering the same thing myself. The stats, although we all know they don't tell the whole story, are somewhat of an indicator as to how JP has progressed.

I still maintain, however, that yanking him last year was the proper move, and may turn out to be more beneficial than leaving him in for the full season. You toss someone in the deep end before they're ready and declare sink or swim, if it's obvious they're going right to the bottom of the pool you gotta pull them out before they drown so they at least get the chance to try again.
