    Vanderjagt on uncertain footing

    By Matt Slocum, AP
Mike Vanderjagt feels the pressure of succeeding as the Cowboys' kicker this season after signing a $6 million deal in the offseason.

    Three games.
Mike Vanderjagt has heard all about the Dallas Cowboys' three losses last season by three points or fewer.
In each case, kickers missed field goals — none longer than 41 yards — that might have changed the outcome. Theoretically, a 9-7 non-playoff finish might have become a 12-4 playoff run.
"I've got three games on my shoulders this year," Vanderjagt said early in training camp. "I'm supposed to turn it around."
    Bill Parcells told you that?

Unlike most predictors, I think that the Cowgirls and Eagles will fight it out for the NFC East and a wildcard spot, and I think Vanderjagt was a good acquisition. Philly has a clutch kicker in Ackers, and Vanderjagt ain't bad, although not quite as clutch as Vinatieri.
The Bills have only had 17 playoff years and 19 winning seasons in 47 years. 9 of those playoff years and 10 of those winning seasons -- and the 4 Super Bowl appearances -- came in the 15 years when Bill Polian and John Butler were Bills GMs ... and Ralph Wilson fired them both.

If he and/or the Cowboys stink, he can always criticize his QB, like he did Manning in Indy.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Do some of you guys REMEMBER how the Colts' season ended last year? Accurate or not he's a choker.
