All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
True...but I expected them to snap him up for their PS.
Yeah...I do kinda have to wonder about that to an extent Maybe they haven't paid close enough attention to our game film this preseason...or maybe they saw too much they didn't like .
ON this homer board, now that Nance is no longer a Bill, he's a bum.
I wouldn't call him a bum, but he wasn't good enough to beat out the 5th or 6th WR's on the roster, despite some encouraging early signs. I just hope he has a decent career and doesn't become a superstar, because then it would have been a mistake for the Bills to release him.
The Steelers didnt get a chance to get him.....The Vikings came up before them on the waiver wire. He would have had to get through the Vikes, Seahawks, Eagles and Pats first.

There is no waiver wire for PS. Players are free to sign with any team they want.
Perhaps Nance thought that Minnesota offered more opportunity than Pittsburgh?
Pitt is a very solid, very veteran team, so it would be hard for rookies, especially an UFA rookie, to even get a look. They cut a lot young players to get down to the limit, including, I think, a third or fourth rounder from 2006.
The Bills have only had 17 playoff years and 19 winning seasons in 47 years. 9 of those playoff years and 10 of those winning seasons -- and the 4 Super Bowl appearances -- came in the 15 years when Bill Polian and John Butler were Bills GMs ... and Ralph Wilson fired them both.
