Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports if Indianapolis Colts backup QB Jim Sorgi's (shoulder) shoulder continues to be a problem or the Colts have an interest in acquiring another veteran, two might be available. Reports have the Buffalo Bills willing to part with QB Kelly Holcomb and the Tennessee Titans at least willing to listen to overtures for QB Billy Volek.

Dumb trading a backup who started last year since Losman could not handle load for a 6rd pick. Marv is smarter than that.

I think everyone except Mike Mularkey knows that Holcomb is nothing more than a very marginal backup. I wouldn't expect a lot for him in a trade - I'd take a bag of magic beans.

But knowing Polian he's not going to give up much so Holcomb looks alot more interesting. Do the Colt's have an extra OL we could use instead of a draft pick?!

Holcomb probably won't be on our roster next year anyway, so getting something for him now would be great!!

Any chance Marv sends Holcomb to IND and they then target Volek, in case JP doesn't pan out.

They seem to be more similar in style of play than JP - Holcomb. You take JP out and the offense changes because of Holcomb's style of play. You take JP out and put Volek in and you don't really have to adjust too much.
