He predicts bills will go 6-10. Not too shabby.

Bills: J.P. Losman has earned the starting quarterback job in Buffalo will a strong preseason and training camp. Now, Losman must prove he is worthy with his accuracy and especially his leadership. But the quarterback plays behind a suspect offensive line, and the weapons for Losman, outside Lee Evans and Willis McGahee, are at a minimum. The Buffalo defense, under new head coach Dick Jauron, should be pretty good. Takeo Spikes is healthy. The back 7 for the Bills defense can be among the NFL's elite.

The only thing I disagree with is I say we go 8-8. Other than that...yeah Carolina wins it...And next year too. EVERY player on that roster is under contract for next year...thats scary!

I disagree with what he said about the weapons that JP has. I think that the weapons are plentiful, but just need to be utilized properly.

I think 8-8 is a reasonable assessment. Could easily go 9-7 or 7-9.

Schein is one of the better talking heads out there, I think this column was pretty much on target for most of the teams. it's not outlandish at this point to say that starpower on offense is limited behind McGahee and Evans. I think a) Royal may prove to be a very underrated receiving TE in addition to his known blocking prowess, but I doubt he's going to turn into the kind of Gates/Gonzalez player that defenses plan around, b) Price/Reed/Davis/Parrish all have a lot of proving to do and until one or more of them shows that they can consistently make plays, Evans is the only WR we have that can be considered a true "weapon." Here's hoping, cause I think all four of the aforementioned receivers have the talent to bust out (and Price has proved it in the past), if they can get their acts together

6-10 is fair I think. If we can win all the close games I think we'll go 8-8, but that's a big if.
I still think 6-10 or 7-9 is probably our record... but 8-8 is definately attainable (it all depends how we start off the season).

Regarding weapons for Losman, this is anoher case where the media is discounting anything that isn't a sure thing for Buffalo. It looks like this is another guy who looked at a Bills roster and did his evaluation of the basis of name recognition.

"Hmm let's see, Robert Royal was a little used blocking back for Washington. I guess he won't be catching too many passes for the Bills. Peerless Price? He's had three subpar years running. He's not going to be any better. Parrish, he's a punt returner isn't he?" He may know something about the Bills past, but I'll bet he saw little or no game tape of the Bills this year, spent any time at the Bills training camp, or watched film of practice.
