Louisville Wins but Loses Top Back

Louisville running back Michael Bush had surgery Monday morning at Jewish Hospital to repair his broken right leg, the university announced.

Although Louisville won its rivalry game with Kentucky Sunday Night, it lost its top RB. Micheal Bush's surgery was successful on Monday but he'll be out for the next 6-8 months. He should heal up in time for the combine. He was projected as a sure fire 1st rounder. Now he may fall to end of 1st, early 2nd.

    Thoughts?

UWV has the Big East locked up and will go undefeated (you heard it here!)

i don't think it'll affect his draft status unless he posts slower 40's.if it were his knee, there would be concerns.

I saw the news and immediately thought Louisville is probably screwed for the season.

Yeah there are some draft picks who miss entire seasons and are still picked up just a few picks later then where they would have been drafted. Cromartie anyone?

Anyway shame really, kid is a great back.

don't worry- if TD gets another NFL job, he's sure to get drafted in the first round. If there's one thing we learned in TD's tenure, it's that knee injuries are the sign of great first round picks.
