Today is the 25th year anniversary since Elvis died. Even though I wasn't old enough to appreciate him, I grew to appreciate him and his music. With all the Elvis talk for the past few days, I was wondering what your favorite Elvis songs are and if you have any memories of the King.

Here are mine:

Kentucky Rain
Suspicious Minds
Return to Sender
Fever
How Great Thou Art
I Believe

Didn't like his music much, but he was a great actor. He made some great movies.

EE, you need to get off the crack! Elvis couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. Especially in the one where he plays identical cousins, that is just plain ass poor!

I don't think Elvis was a good actor either. But, his movies were kinda cute and he did look damn good when doing them. lol

He's a hottie, but he's no Clint Howard!

It is Ron Howard's brother, a bit player in many, many movies.

Oh, he was the kid in Gentle Ben, and was on the Andy Griffith show as a kid too.

Looks aren't everything, J7. It is what's inside that counts. I am ashamed of you for not realizing that :(

You know I believe that, Gunzlinger. But, since I don't know him, nor have I seen him in any movies, I'm just going by that picture. And he looks scary in it.

hey back to Elvis...

I've been listening to the Oldies station and they have been playing various songs by Elvis this weekend and I never realized how many good songs he did that you never hear of or hear on the radio...

Elvis really was good, Eb. They don't play him as much on the radio anymore but every once and awhile you hear some good Elvis songs. :)

Speaking of Elvis, a radio station down by me will pay $1 million dollars to anyone who brings in the live, Elvis Arron Presley. lol You know how there was that rumor that he was still alive, well, they'll pay you if you find him and bring him in. Happy hunting! ;)

Suspicious Minds is my alltime favorite Elvis song. Just a tremendous recording, very powerful. I absolutely love the background vocals, which I think is Cissy Houston (Whitney's mom). Alot of people make fun of the "Vegas" Elvis, but I've seen tapes of those shows, and that band he had was great. Shame. Only 42. Dead from a broken heart.

Yup. He really did die from a broken heart. And you know, he really did love Priscilla. She was his one and only true love.
