If you're DJ, what's your strategy to contain him and prevent him from having a big game against the defense? I suppose they should have whitner on him because of his speed, but watson has a height advantage over whitner. Wire would just get completely burned by watson.

Re: Ben Watson
Maybe Spikes on the strongside can jam him up.Last edited by Jan Reimers; 09-08-2006, 02:13 PM.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Re: Ben Watson
Gotta have our LB's engage him off the line every time, he should have no free breaks off the line. Wear him out, make him fight to release. Then if he catches a pass, I wanna see everybody finishing a tackle on him. None of this pansy ass riding the player out of bounds crap, wrap him up and put him on the ground. Also Id like to see Whitner line him up for a big one.COMING SOON...

Re: Ben Watson
You guys need to do the Lawrence Taylor thing and send some "ladies of the night" to Watson, Brady, and also Dillon. Heck after last night, I would've chipped in and sent the whole Moonlight Bunny Ranch to the Steelers offense and defense. I also would've sent a crack whore for good measure too.

Re: Ben Watson
Well since Watson is their ONLY real threat without and starting quality WR's, and who despite a nice but meaningless pre-season, hasn't really established himself as an upper-echelon TE (he had 29 catches for 441 yards last year), I'm not overly concernd. Put Vincent on him.

Re: Ben Watson
it's a zone D- we won't be putting anyone on him most of the time, unless it's man under and then he will be lined up with a LB or possibly a CB.
I agree with Draftboy- whatever happens, don't let him get a clean release off the line- that will be key.
