    Bowen Misses Practice; Remains Questionable

Buffalo Bills strong safety Matt Bowen missed his third consecutive practice on Friday, meaning its unlikely he'll play in Buffalo's season opener against New England on Sunday.

Makes me wonder even more why we cut Rashad Baker

Bowen is not that far away from returning. Once he gets healthy I think that he will be the primary backup at both saftey postions. If two first team players go down then Simpson gets the call.

Baker was an average speical teams player - not in the same league as Wire. He really would not have seen much playing time there or behind a healthy Bowen and Simpson. In other words, there were more pressing needs than keeping him.
