I know the Bills were shut out over the final 41:40 of the game and could not sustain their strong offensive start Sunday at the Razor Blade, but even in defeat we should not lose sight of how well Buffalo played for a good part of the game.
Buffalo could win more than folks expect this season, because it has a pretty good formula in place: a quick, swarming and very aggressive defense composed of the lighter, more athletic players that head coach Dick Jauron and defensive coordinator Perry Fewell favor; a strong running game that gave New England's defense fits in the first half (71 yards on 14 carries, 5.1 average); and the Bills' always superb special-teams units.
If those three components show up consistently, Buffalo won't need third-year quarterback J.P. Losman to decide too many games all by himself. Losman is going to make his share of mistakes, but the Bills could survive a few with stout defense, a running game and strong special teams.

Jesus. Again more shots at losman. Just say the guy played damn well for the most part esp against Billy B and be done with it. Writers are going to be on this kids ass even if he goes 30/30 600 yards, 10 TD's and no picks.

JP really didint do anything to lose the game but in the same respect he didint do anything to win the game either, he looked improved and that is a good sign

Seems to me they are acknowledging the fact that he's young and inexperienced, and he's going to make mistakes while he develops and the rest of the team has to survive through the process with him.
