    Reed started and did well

Despite reports to the press to the contrary before the game, Reed started the game not Price and in fact he was the leading WR. I'd have liked to see more yards by him but he can only catch what was thrown to him by the QB.

G, when looking at the tape #81 started I thought. I will need to double check.

      Sideline catch was great.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
      It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Looks like I missed the first offensive play:

          1-10-BUF18 (10:36) W.McGahee right end to BUF 16 for -2 yards (A.Samuel, E.Wilson).

2-12-BUF5 (9:55) (Shotgun) J.Losman Aborted. M.Fowler FUMBLES at BUF 5, recovered by BUF-J.Losman at BUF 5. J.Losman pass deep right to J.Reed ran ob at BUF 36 for 20 yards.

CBS reported Reed started and didn't see Price on the field during run so I did not not have any reason to doubt them.

I thought I saw his number in the huddle which is why I assumed they were correct until I looked at NFL site for inactives.

anyhoo, reed is obviously a strong runner after the catch and he showed that yesterday. i am glad he is showing some life.

Whether he technically started or not doesn't matter. What does is that he did do well.

Reed used to be a RB. Running should be an asset of such a WR.

He's only good until he drops a pass and then we're back to saying he blows.

Reed is A-ok with me Imo he is a great WR to have as depth..He is strong with the rock in his hands...He needs confidence.. IMO JP will form chemistry with him..

He's a nice possession type receiver with RAC ability, as well as a strong blocker. If he can avoid the dropsies, he will be one more weapon in an arsenal of WRs.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
