All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
the jury is way out on all of them...The Steelers win regardless who plays at what position...Manning and Rivers were touted as the #1 overall...many gurus and teams didn't even have JP in the 1st round...any more than that goes out on a limb.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
I agree - its way early. I just felt like posting...
I think Ben and Rivers looked more poised in the pocket in their first outings than did Eli and JP. Eli has matured since taking his lumps, so hopefully JP does as well. This class could be pretty special...
Big Ben is good, and is surrounded by great coaching and talent. So far, he's at the head of the class.
With the other 3, it's too early to tell. Rivers won a game last night thanks to a superb running game and a ferocious defense. Eli has had a coach who believes in him and has given him 25 or 26 starts already. He's looking better, but I don't think he's a top flight QB as yet.
JP finally has a good coach, but we lack the overall talent level of the Steelers, Chargers and Giants, which really help the other 3.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
I think JP has more physical ability than the other 3. But only time will tell if that translates to success on the field. Both Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf had physical ability, too - and Leaf may have had more.
