Bills move up in ESPN Power Poll, Patriots down

Yeah it is ESPN but better than I hoped.

View the 2024 NFL power index on ESPN. The FPI is the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season.

10 (7) Patriots 1-0-0 Tom Brady might be the best QB in the NFL, but even the best QB in the league will struggle some with Troy Brown, Reche Caldwell and Bam Childress as his top three WRs.

26 (30) Bills 0-1-0 The safety was obviously a mistake, but J.P. Losman showed some promise Sunday against the Patriots.

And for rest of AFL East:

23 (31) Jets 1-0-0 A good QB will give you a chance to be competitive in the NFL, and when Chad Pennington is healthy, he's pretty good.

16 (9) Dolphins 0-1-0 Daunte Culpepper made some throws that looked a lot like the QB who struggled so much at the beginning of last season.

I am sure WCF disagrees with the Dolphin ranking.

A win's a win... Though I dont think the Jets are better than us, they won and we didnt.

Putting the Jets ahead of the Lions and the Saints though... that's CRAZY!

Now they have us where they should have started us in the first place..the first half of this year will be Miami's most vulnerable time, until the new people get totally comfortable with the system, then we play football.

I put as much stock in these Power Polls as I do in TacklingDummy's posts.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Power polls are based partially in reality.

lions lost... jets won....... as far as that goes, thats enough...

saints........ were just as bad as the jets last year, and this year expectations are equally low... this week will be quite fun

imagine if the patsies lose to the jets..... the jets could be top 15?! and probably still be below the patriots

I think the Jets were bumped up because Pennington looked like the Chad Pennington before his injury. As ESPN said, "He's pretty good." Losman showed promise, but he's nowhere near he needs to be, and it could be a bumpy road for a while before he gets there, with no promise that he actually will. I think Buffalo will need to start winning some games before we get bumped up any more.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
