    Troy Vincent is all class

In this day and age, I don't know how many players you would find who would take their day off to work on helping the guy who's going to replace him - very classy move in my opinion and good for Ko and Donte to take him up on it:

"It wasn't bad," said Simpson of his pro debut last Sunday. "I was just excited to get out there, but I was trying to watch Troy (Vincent) and learn from him. Instead I was out there and tried to do the best I could."

After finding the film room a bit empty after the coaches held their respective meetings through the course of last week, Vincent extended an invitation to Simpson and fellow rookie safety Donte Whitner to come in on their off day this week to get a jump start on Miami.

"Just taking what the coaches give you is not enough," said Vincent. "When it comes to preparing for an opponent you've got to do more on your own. So I told Ko and Donte that I'm going to be here and if they want to spend time in the film room with me that's cool."

Both Simpson and Whitner plan to take Vincent up on his offer today. Simpson, recognizing the value of such an invitation, is excited about what he might pick up from the 15-year veteran.

"Troy told me he's going to try to get me ready," said Simpson. "(Tuesday) we're going to come in and he's going to show me some stuff on Miami.

These are the guys I like to see on our team. Blue collar guys that believe in the team. I just wish all our players could be like this.
You think you're hot **** in a champagne glass, but you're really cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup!

Im really excited about our secondary, while Clements is almost assuredly gone McGee/Simpson/Whitner is a fantastic foundation for the future.

"I'm rehabbing it this week," said Vincent of his injury. "And I'm hopeful I'll play on Sunday."

I just hope Troy doesn't show them how to tackle.

              Dude is a speed bump.

I love the fact he's helping these guys, but at this point I'd rather him as a coach, then player.

Thta was cool of Troy... But what has he done at FS to teach??
j/k since he's been a all pro CB most of his career.... I'm still amazed that he has been mediocre since he arrived. I had high hopes... I hope we stick with Ko all year.. Then the future looks brighter..

I really like his work ethics and attitude. Seems like a class guy. That will go far when he becomes a coach someday....which should be sooner than later at this point.

I would see him as Gene Upshaw's heir apparent.

Exactly. There is one high profile player on offense that could learn a ton from these kids on having a team attitude

TV has always been a good guy. He obviously sees no point in being a dick because a rookie is a threat to his starting job. He puts the team ahead of himself.
