7 sacks today, five by the ends.

3 last week, two by the ends.

10 total for the first two games, seven by the ends.

I think guys are doing OK so far rushing the passer :D

Finally after so many years without a rush up front it is finally nice to see!

Yeah, i'll admit I had given up on kelsay and denney. They have surely improved and impressed.

Frankly, Denny has played much better than most were willing to give him credit for for quite some time....Kelsay is the one that disappointed the most IMHO. Here's to hoping that Kelsay is also turning the corner now that he's back as a DE rather than a quasi-pass rush DT that he was pushed int last year.

Denney has been playing quite well but did not get the credit he deserved because he played DT, DE and at times CB. He still is put in coverage (he is ready to catch ball behind Crow on that interception as well. He also has been on special teams as well and occasionally you see him creaming a WR or DB.

The big thing that hurt them in previous years was the scheme. The best coaches tailor their schemes around their players...something Jerry Gray didn't do very well.

Denney said early on he loved this defensive scheme...it was tailored to his abilities. Looks like so far he's proving it.

Larry Tripplet impressed me greatly today. That cat can move!

The rush today was awesome. I felt like we had Carolina's line out there. Definitely threw Culpepper off what little game he even has.

Kelsay made some plays and got a sack today too.

Denny was dominant in this game..

Schobel doesnt have the stat line, but his constant pressure forced some bad throws and kept Culpepper uneasy.

Honestly, I could not be happier with their play. They have been just awesome.

Tripplett has been great as well. if we can get some more consistent play from kyle williams like we saw in the preseason, we will be set for years to come, as they are all signed for at least the next 4 years (bar kelsay, who we could get back i think).

Eighty sacks this season would be outstanding!
