Sometimes ya just gotta do it.

When Dick Jauron was hired, I was disgusted.. I wanted sherman.. I wanted Payton... I wanted Haslett.. Hell, I wanted anyone but Jauron.

I said he was nothing more than a "cheap hire" and this team would go NOWHERE with him as coach.. I called him a one year wonder with a career (ugly) losing record in Chicago.. I said in training camp he'd make a mess of the quarterback situation and he wouldnt be able to coach in the AFC.

I even started an "official I hate Dick Jauron thread"

I was wrong.

This guy has his team ready to play, confident, TOGETHER and believing in themselves like no coach I've seen here since the man who hired him earlier this year. Forget the split, just on the fact that he took a perceived weak team on the road against TWO QUALITY teams and had them this ready to play-- from this point on he's earned my trust.

I didn't want anyone but Wiess but had enough confidence in Marv to make the right decision.

I wasn't thrilled about the selection myself...but had enough faith in Marv to not throw in the towel

I think it's more than that one win..even in the loss we looked like a far better team than we were under Mularkey or Williams..disciplined, a lot of hustle, and smart, heady play

not the wins, cause this still isnt a playoff team. Some teams are just going to be too experienced and too talented for us to beat.. for now

It's that he has this team TOTALLY FOCUSED and ready to play from the opening whistle.. It took less than two weeks to show this team will have absolutely no QUIT in them.

I may have (and still could be right) casted this SEASON off as a disaster waiting to happen.. but I NEVER gave up on this team.

I have been supportive of the OVERALL efforts of Marv Levy for a long time.. In fact (not that it matters) but after the draft when more than half the board and 90% of Bills fans were going CRAZY over our draft, I wrote a few articles for this site, Scout, Yahoo and Fox about this being a brilliant draft. When i'm not lazy I'll dig through the archives for proof.

in fact, the majority of the emails I got from NON Bills fans around the country accused me of being a "homer".

I have always liked the direction Marv is taken this team, and until now I"ve hated Jauron.. I was ready to call this a throw away season, but early returns show I could very well be wrong--and that would make me very happy-- having a team to root for that has a SHOT to win every week is FUN.

Never wanted Sherman or Payton or Haslett not any rookie Head Coach. Lots of coaches have had bad seasons and turred game around. Billy was a bad coach in Cleveland and improved, Marv was turning around Chiefs before he was let go, etc.
