Today was the first day for training for Sportsservice employees at the HSBC Arena. I will be employed as a Server/Runner in the Luxery Suites during Sabres games. Today it was cool because they gave us a tour of the arena and underneath the bleachers I saw the Zambonis, nets, the nets that Larry Quinn designed (remember the curvy nets?), and "NHL Employee Only" Areas.

I also watched Larry Quinn walk by and I'll be back there for training tomorrow and wednesday night...

I guess that is why you did not want to buy any tickets.

Rarely is is about having enough money to afford to sit there as it is about who you know. I sat there for a game when I was 16, certainly couldn't "afford it", but my dad's company happened to have the suite for the night... By the way, now that I'm 24, a suite would be so great, free beer along with free food. I couldn't really take advantage of that at 16! That was the best game I've ever been too... Not only did we pound on Toronto that night, Rob Ray and Tie Domi fought 3 times in that game!
