Texans made the right choice on Mario Williams

    16. The Texans say they drafted Mario Williams because they needed a dominant pass rusher to help slow down Peyton Manning, whom they face twice a year in the AFC South. Well, Williams had no sacks and just two tackles in his first game against the Colts. That sounds bad, but when you consider their No. 1 pick alternative, Reggie Bush, didn't have any tackles Sunday, it's clear the Texans made the right decision.
Unlike 11 other teams in the NFL, DJ Gallo is 2-0 this season and he has geniuses like John Fox and Donovan McNabb to thank for it.

I started laughing as soon as I saw the title of this thread.

The Texans look like complete jackasses.

I wonder whether God will heal Terrell Owens' broken finger way ahead of schedule like he did his broken ankle two years ago. I know a lot of good-hearted, religious folk in Philadelphia will be praying that happens so Owens can make the trip with the Cowboys in two weeks to play the Eagles. Then those same people will be praying their batteries fly true and hit Owens directly in the head.

They may really regret that move. Especially knowing the health concerns of Dominick Davis they still passed on Bush.

You can't judge the move after 2 games though. The Texans feel with having Kubiak there that they can produce 1,200 yard rushers with anybody in the backfield like Denver does with that system.

If Mario Williams turns out to be like Julius Peppers and the Texans can find a good RB to plug into their system it could turn out to be a good move. If both of them doesn't happen though they will regret it.

People are saying Chad Pennington can't throw a Hail Mary pass due to the fact that his heave at the end of regulation yesterday against the Patriots fell to the earth a good 20 yards short of the end zone. But I disagree. I define a Hail Mary as desperately heaving the ball as far as one possibly can in hopes of a miracle completion. That's what Pennington does on pretty much every pass attempt -- or at least the ones longer than four or five yards. So lay off the guy already.

              this is a cheap shot
Ray Lewis -- who has scored numerous touchdowns in his career -- ripped the ball out from behind Gregg without any warning and tried to take it in himself. I was shocked Lewis would do that to a teammate trying to score a touchdown. It's just not like Ray Lewis to stab a guy in the back like that.

Ravens veteran defensive tackle Kelly Gregg had a chance to score the first touchdown of his career Sunday when he scooped up a Raiders fumble late in the third quarter and started running toward the end zone. He managed to lug his 300-plus-pound frame more than 50 yards, but right as he was about to go in for a touchdown, Ray Lewis -- who has scored numerous touchdowns in his career -- ripped the ball out from behind Gregg without any warning and tried to take it in himself. I was shocked Lewis would do that to a teammate trying to score a touchdown. It's just not like Ray Lewis to stab a guy in the back like that.

While you can't judge any graft pick after only 2 games, I'm not sure that Bush is setting the world on fire, either. (Reggie, not the President.)
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Maroney has outplayed Bush so far. You can't judge a draft pick after 2 games. Lets give it 2 years.

If Williams turns into a Peppers than Bush better turn into a Faulk.
If all things are equal I would take the pass rusher. It's much easier to find a good runner. Either way this is way to early to judge the picks because obviously the runner is going to be ahead of the d-end at this point. check in a couple of years.

The two DE's that Mario Williams is most talked about in terms of what expected production should be, Julius Peppers and Dwight Freeney, both had immediate impacts as a rookie Peppers had 12 sacks in 12 games and Freeney 13 sack in their rookie years, considering he was taken 1st overall he needs to start making a difference this year
