Why does everyone want this guy around?? He's not all that good. He's also only concerned with filling his pockets full of cash. Let the guy play for Oakland or Denver, those guys seem to love renting players for a year.

We're not gonna win it all this year, the rest of the defense still needs work. Why not let the offense carry us and allow the defense to develop and improve?? Late in the season we could be a young and aggressive 6-6 team that no one wants to play, or we could be or a 7-5 veteran team on its last legs. Adams and Ahanitu (spell??) will start off fine, but with the limited experience we have for the backups, they weill log alot of snaps and fatigue

Let the young guys play!!

I'm not a big fan of ADAMS, but we need help BADLY!

if we had Adams plugged into the middle....we would have a very good defense. 2 great CBs...average safeties (maybe a little below average)...solid LBs...and 2 DTs great at stuffin the run. the only weakness would be pass rush...and if we weren't as vunralble against the run we could blitz more. adams would instantly make our defense at least average.

Adams-costs to much, and is a locker room cancer.
One more time Adams will not and should not happen.
Besides we are more than one DL away from the SB,
Next year we have cap room and can make better moves for the longterm. I don't want us to be in cap hell again.

I just read that he is only looking for a 3-4 Mil signing bonus. Stretch that over 3 years, and how bad could it be, then backload the contract heavily.

I dont like him either, but his addition takes us from a "Look for them in 2003" team to a "Superbowl contenders in 2002" team.

I want instant gratification!!

I don't. We are at least 2 DL, one OL and 1 S short. At least.

EE, I pretty much agree with you completely. Although, I think we have the personnel on our OL, they all need at least one more year of experience playing their new positions. I guess if you're talking this year, then we need at least one more OL, but for the future, I think we're almost finally set at OL. Better depth is all that's needed.
Also, before we become Super Bowl contenders, we need a better backup LB and a more proven RB - Henry will someday fulfill that role, but not right now.

Sam Adams will not make us a Super Bowl team.

A Run Blocking DT could get us in the playoffs though.

guys....the patriots won the super bowl last year. being a super bowl team has greatly diminished. you don't have to be perfect anymore. with sam adams...we can stop the run...and the pass. our current offense can pass and they will develop a running game. We now have decent SPT...the Bills with Sam Adams are as close to great as any other team in the league right now...with the Rams.
