    Vikings | P. Williams rips into former club, Donohoe

    Kevin Seifert, of the Minnesota Star-Tribune, reports former Buffalo Bills and current Minnesota Vikings DT Pat Williams did not mince words when offering his opinion on how effective his former club was in placing a winning product on the field. "They did everything wrong there," Williams said. "They got rid of all their good players. That's the same reason why [Donohoe] got fired by the Steelers. He would never sign his guys back down there, either. He was doing the same thing he did in Pittsburgh when he was up in Buffalo, messing everything up. He spent five years there, and messed it up for five years more." Williams added that he no longer has hard feelings for his former team since Donohoe and the former coaching regime are no longer there.

        Not to stick up for Donahoe but alot of the guys he didn't resign really didn't set the world on fire with their new team.

        To name a few off the top of my head, Henry Jones, Jennings, Travis Henry, Holicek, Flutie, Johnson.

        And he did draft some good players, McGahee, Clements, McGee, Schobel, Evans.

        He also had his share of bad draft picks. Like most GMs do.

        Oh well, he's gone. Thank God.

            Antwoin Winfield, would have been a good signing. Pat Williams another.

            Donohoe drafted Travis Henry so that one cracks me up!!

              He didn't rip the Bills at all, just Donahoe.

              I even heard an interview with him this offseason where he said that he would still be in Buffalo if Marv Levy had taken over a year earlier.

                  I disagree on this one. Winfield would have been a bad one to resign. He wasn't worth the amount of money that Minnesota threw at him.

                  I'm still not sure on Jonas Jennings. He has been a HUGE bust in SF, but who's to say he would have been injured in Buffalo. I think we can all agree the o-line hasn't been what we've desired the last few years.

                  Donahoe was good for drafting skill players and signing big name free agents. When it came to building a solid team all around and developing a good team w/ good team chemistry, he sucked ass.

                    not for what he got with the Vikes. Maybe , he would've taken less because of Marv, but who knows? Marv also is going with youth.

                      Nope. Winfield wanted top $$$ and wanted out of buffalo like Moulds. Henry was a good draft pick considering where he was drafted, 3rd rd.
