The real reason why Spikes is taking so long to recover.

It's not because he doesn't want to play for the Bills, but it is because he is scared...yes, I said it...scared. I don't mean this as a slight to him, but if you remember back to when his injury happened last year, he stated that the weeks leading up to the injury he felt soreness in the area, but decided to try to play through it. Well, it seems that this has had a huge effect on his mental toughness concerning injuries. I can't blame him and this seems to be a very plausible reason why he is taking all this time. He just doesn't want to tear the hamstring and be out the entire year again. Let's hope he gets back to the place he needs to be and SOON!

Sorry man, I don't buy it.

I think the guy is just playing it smart. While his presence is definitly uplifting to this defense, his replacements are getting the job done adequately. No need to rush back at this point. He's waiting until he is 100% sure his hammy has healed. Honestly, I look forward to having him fresh mid and late season. He could really disrupt things in upcoming games.

Also, if Spikes plays less than 100%, then the Bills also have to keep an extra linebacker on hand during the game just in case he goes down again. Seems easier to just let Spikes rest, heal and keep him on the scratch list.

He may be in a cautious mode, but I wouldn't equate that with 'scared'.

Him being afraid of aggrivating the injury sounds more realistic than him not wanting to play because he doesnt want to be a Bill.

            It is a hammy injury.
This is going along like any other hammy injury.
            Give it a break.
