The Bills coaching staff really need to get this penalty thing under control. I was screaming at the TV yesterday after the 4th one that was called in the 1st qrtr. I was beside myself when they ended up pulling 14 on the day. That's piss poor discipline.

yeah we had over 100 yards on penalties and our average drive start was the 49 yard line- that's enough yardage for 2 TD's.

Ridiculous.

It was pretty unusual for this team to be penalized this much.

I don't think we can blame the officials. They were pretty obvious calls.

the interfering with the fair catch on the pooch kickoff was a bad call. There was one hold that was kinda borderline- I can't remember who it was on though. The rest of them all seemed pretty fair.

These penalties is uncalled for. That falls back to an undisciplined team.

Sure from time to time teams will have a lot of penalties. Outside of 1 game we have had tons of them. And to have 14 in one game? Uncalled for.

At least be man enough to leave a name when you talk crap. Coward.

Whoever it was I guess they are too blind to admit that 14 penalties isn't a good thing and isn't a successful gameplan to win football games.

What about the PI that was called on the DE (Kelsay?)? The announcers first said it was a good call, then when they replayed it, they thought he was within the allowed 5 yards?

it depends- if the ball was in the air, Kelsay can't hit the guy even if he was still within the 5 yards- that's the difference between PI and illegal contact. It looked to me that the contact was initiated before the ball was in the air, but was still being made after the ball was thrown. I think that one was probably the right call.

Even if it was a bad call along with the two I mentioned, 11 legit penalties is still far too many. And when you're committing that many fouls, you can't expect to get the benefit of the doubt on the close calls.

My impression was that it only mattered when the contact was initiated, but I could be wrong.

False starts in your own stadium are inexcusable.
