Green Bay - game 1, wow what a challenge, no cred
Detroit - game 2, wow another challenge, no cred
Minny - game 3, we beat them by more than they did, no cred
Seattle - game 4, great game / cred deserved

Breaking it down, they had about the 3 easiest games and won and had 1 against a "good" team so I really don't see how they have played that much better. The Bills would of went 3-0 against those guys as well most likely with Seattle being a toss up at home and a potential loss away. Either way I think Da bears are in for a big let down this week, beaten by the Bills

Agreed Chicago is a bit overhyped, but given that they are home they still should be favorites.

Unlike JP, Grossman has that gunslinger mentality. Our DBs will make him pay.

Jones hasn't been running particularly well. A lot of that last 98 yard game came from garbage time.

They've been winning with defense and special teams, and a Favre-like slinger. If our DBs take that away and JP plays smart and conservative, we'll have a chance.

We really haven't played an elite team yet but every game we played we we're in and could of won. NE maybe better than most people thought and we should of beat them. It's early yet and again, Rex grossman does not lend to a devestating offense. He won't be bombing from his back.

we should have beaten the jets, and we should have beaten the Pats - we could very well be undefeated right now too.

The Bills have played tough against everybody, including the Patriots who we should have beat.

I agree, skoob, I think that this is winnable game.

We are a good team, and with all the hype, the Bears may suffer a pitfall against us. We shall see.

Yeah .. and the first two games against sub par teams were blowouts .. which is what you are supposed to do to teams with inferior talent.

That Minnesota win was a road win as well.

I'm definitely more concerned about their D against our O than the other way around. I don't think our D will dominate them but I think they will keep it reasonable- it just depends on whether or not we can move the ball.

Also, I'm concerned that Skooby jinxed us cuz he had a bunch of similar threads about how we were going to beat NE before we lost to NE.

ublinkwescore
10-04-2006, 12:02 PM
If the refs didn't flag Peerless for Offensive PI when he was tripping over the DB's feet trying to get to where the ball was going, and flagged the DB for illegal contact downfield or Defensive PI like they should have that game would have more than likely gone a different route.

If the refs would have called the Pats for holding a couple of the multiple times that they did it and got away with it, or flagged them for roughing the kicker (Moorman), that game would have most certainly been ours - regardless of whether or not we convert the 4th and 1.

ublinkwescore
10-04-2006, 12:04 PM
we probably would have just kicked the field goal since some of those things should have been called before the 4th and 1.

Obviously nobody saw the Bears dismantle the reigning NFC champs last Sunday night.

The Bears are for real, and Sunday we'll find out how far away we are from the Super Bowl.

They had a great game that night. But where was that team against the Vikings two weeks ago?

The Bears are hot and cold from week to week. With any luck we'll be catching them still high from last Sunday night and lay an egg.

Howdy Bills fans, it's always interesting to see the other teams fans' points of views in these weekly matchups. I'm still not sold on the Bears power rankings that have been posted this week. I do have great confidence in them, but that same confidence was the Bear's downfall last season. A lot of Chicago players have talked about that game last year against Carolina and admit that they were too cocky. I'd like to think that they learned from that mistake.

The Bears have a pretty easy schedule this year, and the way they've handled their division opponents so far is pointing them directly to the post season. However, they may stumble a bit on the road to some of the tougher teams this year. If the Bears were to play at Buffalo, I would pick that game as a loss. Still not sure what to expect at Soldier Field. It will take a few more wins (including some on the road) before I start thinking about a 14-2/13-3 team.

I like the fact that Grossman has a lot of confidence and his long ball accuracy so far has been a bit unreal. We'll see how he handles pressure outdoors and at Soldier Field. That could be a pretty good barometer of things to come. I believe the Vikings strong point in our game against them was the pressure they put on Grossman, not to mention playing inside the Metrodome on that garbage they call astroturf. (That's where he broke his ankle the last time.)

I don't believe the Seahawks brought their A-game with them last Sunday, and if they had Alexander and the game was in Seattle, that could very well have been a Bears loss. Football is full of "couldabeens" and "if-onlys." This should be a good game, the Bills are one of the few Bears opponents on their schedule that I'm concerned about. The others being the Pats, Jets and Rams-all road games (Rams on indoor turf.) Time will tell if the Bears really are all that the media is making them out to be, may the best team win!
