hell no. Those fairweather fans only watch hockey cuz there's no NASCAR on weeknights. The team earned the Cup but the fans don't deserve it.

It's good for the soul, and I think it'll remind the players what they just missed last year. They shouldn't feel bad at all, though.

yeah, I made up that thing about how they couldn't sell any home playoff tickets after they lost their first two games on the road- the national sports media picked it up off my blog and went with it.

all teams have some fairweather fans. It's just a matter of how big your die-hard fan base is. Any team can sell out when they're winning- it's whether you sell 15,000 tickets when you're losing or 8000 tickets when you're losing.

The Sabres are still going to sell out playoff games, even if they're behind 0-2 in the series, unlike Carolina.

Just wait until that team hits a down cycle and only wins 20 games. By November, they won't be able to sell 5000 tickets to a game.
