How does a coach throwing a weak punch at a player beat out a basketball player nearly killing another in a brawl, a figure skater getting a lead pipe to the knee, or a boxing biting off a portion of his opponent's ear?

I'm not surprised that Claude Lemieux was in there- he's a cheapshot artist.

I'm surprised that Vernon Maxwell punching the fans in Philly isn't in there (probably because everyone knows Philly fans deserve to be punched).

I'm surprised that Buddy Ryan punching Kevin Gilbride on the sideline isn't in there- they were on the same friggin team! (probably because Gilbride called a naked WR screen on 4th and 2 from their own 45 and it didn't work right before Ryan punched him).

yeah, and it just gets better from there.

I love it how the pitcher gets behind two other guys so the batter just goes after the SS because he's the next closest.

No doubt.

I also agree that about half of them had no place being in the top 10 though.

Still pretty funny though.

Spitting in someone's face is despicable, but how are these incidents even remotely comparable to Tyson's, Washington's, and McSorley's madness?
