NE, we dont want Miami to have any reason to believe in themselves.

Miami.

We need NE to lose so we can catch up. We're a game and a tiebreaker ahead of the Dolphins and a game and a tiebreaker behind NE.

You should have phrased it differently though- I don't want Miami to win but I do want the Pats to lose. I think right now the Pats losing helps the Bills more than the Fins losing.

Mr. Miyagi
10-05-2006, 02:48 PM
But if NE wins and we lose, we'll be 2 games back.

I'd like to say the fins, but I want all the so called experts who picked the fins to go to the sb to be so wrong and eat their freakin crow.Besides, The sooner people burry the fins, the shorter the list.

man, some of you need to take a step back and look at this objectively. Rivalries notwithstanding, we need the Pats to lose in order to keep pace with them. This is one of those rare occasions where a Miami win helps the Bills more than it hurts them. It's fun to point and laugh at Fins losses, but is that really worth it if we finish one game behind NE at the end of the year?

Right now, I hate the Pats more than I hate the Fins- at least we can beat the Fins.

Let's put it this way, Op...everytime I want the Fish to win (for the type of reasons you outlined) they lose anyway :idunno:

yeah they do have a knack for screwing it up when they have an opportunity to help us.

The Bills will benefit more from a Pats loss but Miami looks so bad this year that I think the Pats will pull it off- probably something in the 24-10 range.

Game tied or Fish to win.

Devin
10-05-2006, 03:43 PM
Reluctantly id say the fish.

I despise them more then anything. Although if they win the sudden influx of fish knobs coming over to say "see we really dont suck ass" might be to much to bear.

A very sick part of me wants to see seymour absolutley obliterate Daunte. Course knowing my luck Harrington would come in and throw 4 TD's.

Absolutely. That way they'll finish the season with 2 wins, while giving the Patsies a much needed loss.

I hope NE wins. I know a Miami victory would help the Bills more, but the season is still in its initial stages, so they'll have time to catch up.

I'm just enjoying Miami's overrated team and overrated coach going into a complete tailspin too much right now to pull for them against anyone.

Am I reading right? OP thinks there's a possibility of us "keeping pace" with the Pats? Never thought I'd see the day

Either ways, Pats win - the fins are pretty much finished. If the Fins win , we're not far behind the Pats but it also gives the fins a chance.

This all of course will mean something if we beat the bears. Otherwise , don't care who wins but it would be nice to see the fins burried. Saban will no longer be god. As a matter of fact, his decision of hiring Moolarkey will have an opposite effect. It's already started.

1) We need the Pats to lose
2) If the fish end up ahead of us because of this win then we didnt play well enough to go anywhere anyways
3) I live in NE, I hate the Pats, and I cant stand to hear them gloat anymore

PS. Pats fans are so fickle... after a loss they forget about their years of dominance and their superbowl titles and the entire media clamors about how bad they are this year and who they lost... of course after a win everyone is bent over for Tommy boy but what can you expect from patsie fans?

This is a tough choice. mmmmm......go fins.

I hate both, but the pats more, and at this point we need help catching up to the pats for the division.

do I honestly think we can do it? No, but the Bills have held some promise- I'd like to see the Bills hang in there as long as possible because it's more fun when there's at least some minimal possibility at playoffs. Even though it didn't work out right, the 2004 season was fun because we were in it until the very last game.

I can't root for anybody to win this game, and it's too early in the season to point to an individual game and indicate that the outcome actually helps or hurts our playoff chances. If this were the last quarter of the year, maybe I'd have a rooting interest, but for now I'll just take solace with the fact that at least one of our division rivals is going to lose this week.

OP is 100% right. You are not thinking clearly if you aren't rooting for a Phins victory. Any way that we can keep in the hunt. Miami sucks so a win here is an abberation.

My dream scenerio is that the Bills upset the Bears, and as we're driving back from that game we hear on our Sirius NFL radio that the Fins upset the Pats 6-3. So we tie for the division lead.

I'm saying that I would love for Brady to go down and Harrington to do well and create a QB controversy. I agree with the previous post, this early in the year you really can't tell who will be in the thick of it fighting for the AFC East crown. Look at the Dolphins last year or us in 2004...I will not root for either team and will happy in the knowledge that one of our rivals WILL lose. Oh, btw, go JAGS!
