    the rookie safeties

Simpson and Whitner had a combined 19 tackles, being the 2 top tacklers for the team. I dunno, I found that stat interesting, forgetting about the rest of the horrible day.

BTW I hate to break this to you, but both were out of position badly on several plays. I chalk it up to them being rookies and overall bad play for the defense, but hardly great performances

How many of them were for a loss or a short gain? It's good they made the tackles but 10 yards down the field doesn't make it a great game. They had some bad moments.

When our safeties lead the team in tackles that just shows how bad of a game it was.

Making tackles and making tackles PRIOR to big plays are two diff things.

this is a horrible situation. It either means they can't stop a reception worth **** or the defensive line sucks complete ass and the safeties have to make all the tackles.

Hey atleast they made the damn takcles, on atleast 10 of those they were the last line of defense and had to make good open field takcles, but it doesnt matter right? We may as well have just let them go, right?

                            Re: the rookie safeties

When your safeties have that kind of tackle total, it means players up front are not making plays. If they were out of position some, that I can chalk up to rookie mistakes, but if they weren't make those plays the Bears whould have had even more touchdowns.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
