All of those teams sucked too.

Their coaches needed to be fired and QB's cut.

This is the worst Bills team ever and Dick Jauron is the worst coach in NFL history.

To add what Skooby so eloquently said...All these Bills teams were playoff teams, with the exception of 1987's Indy strike game. (Sorry, just had to throw that one in there for ****s and giggles!)

Even as the AFC's powerhouse, we occasionally had a clunker or two. This is the NFL. It's going to happen from time to time.

The measure of a team, is how they pick themselves up, and respond in the following weeks.

I think this week was a little different than just a bad game. All teams have bad games. We were intimidated this week. It really brings into question who on our team really believes in themselves. I can't wait until next week but I will not at all be surprised to see Detriot beat us.

Thank you, O esteemed Historian, for reminding us that even in our BEST years, we still got our asses kicked.

This is an EXCELLENT reminder for all the gloom and doom people out there.

One crappy game does NOT mean that we are finished.

I, for one, am still very optimistic about this season. We can treat this ass-kicking by Da Bears in one of two ways..

1. We realize that we aren't yet an elite NFL team, and come back hard and kick the Lions ASS! or...
2. We get discouraged and go into a shell, and get our asses handed to ourselves repeatedly during this season.

Let's look at this as an anomaly and go with #1.

Some additional history - since the merger, the Bills have had 16 winning seasons (8 in the Levy era) out of 36, which is 44%. So you're right, the sky isn't falling. It's been on the ground for most of the Bills' history.
