View Full Version : Was the REAL score 37-7?

I'm pretty sure they missed that field goal to the right..it looked like it went over the flag, not the goal post.

Not that it matters, but, I was wondering if anyone can confirm this. Was it no good, or was I too buzzed :snicker:

It looked no good. Don't know how the ref could've missed that though, standing right under it.

It was clearly good from the replay from the camera that was directly under the field goal. It went higher than the right bar, so when it came back down, it was far passed the crossbar and at that time it was wide.

i immediately yelled that they missed it. the bears fans in front of me didn't yell with excitement so i'm pretty sure they thought i was right. mom went to yell for joy and i had to cover her mouth and scream "SHUTUP!" when the refs said it was good. the bears fans in front of me still didn't cheer....they were waiting for a challenge

Like it said, the kick went a lot higher than the right post. So when it came down, it look like that was when it crossed the crossbar when in reality, it crossed the crossbar earlier. It was an optical illusion. From the camera angle right under the goal post, it wasn't even close.

The refs stand directly under each post...hard to believe they could blow a call like that. I'm assuming it was good.

My son thought it was wide. I figured there was no way I could tell. I didn't much care anyways.
