Because we are right up on the cap and can't afford to have him on the roster? because he would be great on the 4th line.

What's the 3rd line right now??? Mair, Peters, and Novotny??? Peters only had 3 shifts the other night and is still a waste of a roster spot in my opinion. I'd might rather see Paille playing!

The 4th line brings so much energy. But I think it would be even better with Paille instead of Peters. However, he did dedicate himself over the summer though, I say we ride him out for a bit.. see how he does for the next month or so. Then make a decision.

One of the reason was because he did not have to clear waivers.

Ruff said he'd slowly work peters into more ice time..

Yes.

I read somewhere (USA Today maybe) we are playing with an open roster spot. Paille was sent down because we are only $50,000 under the cap.

He did not have to clear waivers, and up here he would not be getting a lot of Ice time. Ruff also wants him getting playing time on the Amerk's top lines.

He will be the first guy recalled if someone goes down

I can't believe we are actually that close to the cap, and some were whining when we walked away from JP....

Paille would really look good on that 4th line.

Cher, I'm just curious...how long have you been a hockey fan?

I've always been more of a football fan, but I have followed the Sabres as far back as I remember. That's basically from the early seventies.

those peeps would rather have JP and Ditch Biron...

ANyway, i dont see why peeps are whining about peters, he's been drawing penalties, and raping defensmen, i mean come one, he sticks up for the team, hes now DRAWING penalties, yes he still gets some but the one against ontreal was stupid, sorta like the one last nite in the CBJ game.. lol.. 2 Minutes for Runing into somone and falling down.. right ... now that he's slimmed out he's fast as all hell...

as for the JP vs Biron...

I'd rather have Biron.... Having a Good 1-2 Punch in net is better than having JP, Let some New kids Take JPs PLace, Score More and 1/7th the Price.

That and the Way Biron has been playing lately, i really dont want to see the sabres play against him.. lol...:respect:

No JP Dumont... Mckee was not worth 3 million let alone 4... Good riddance. Spacek is a SOLID replacement.

Even if McKee would want to sign for $2.5 million instead of te $4 million he got- He was still too expensive.

$2.8 Million for Dumont was wayyy over the top

I will have to assume that the reason they sent him down was because they could. The Sabres are really gambling on the health of Tim Connolly with this move. They are keeping that spot open for Connolly (I have to think).

If Connolly comes back, the Sabres will be forced to clear space.

Probably Trade Biron

Connolly won't see games for a few months yet- and until an opening due to injury occurs

The 43.95 amount includes Connolly, so they would not have to clear any cap sapce.

Only if they are placed on longterm IR. The Sabres have yet to do that.

once they Activate Connolly, wont his Salary Take us over the Cap? or is his Salary counted even if he's on IR?,

lol.. someone explain this... i got 5 different people barking 5 different scenerios...

The Buffalo News explained this last week. His salary still counts, until they put him on long-term IR. At that time they would free up his salary - the current amount under the cap ($50,000) to sign a replacement. He would still be paid the full amount.
